The Marianapolis Drama Club is proud to present the comedic horror rock musical, “Little Shop of Horrors.”
“Little Shop of Horrors” is based on the black comedy film of the same name, directed by Roger Corman. The play centers on a florist who raises a plant that feeds off of human flesh. The music, written by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, is stylized after early 1960s rock, doo-wop and Motown.
The Marianapolis performance is directed by Trisha Bogar with Benjamin McVety as musical director. Performances will take place in the Irwin Black Box Theatre, 26 Chase Road, Thompson, CT at 7 p.m. on May 14, 4:30 p.m. on May 16, and 4 p.m. on May 17.
