Crew - Girls' Varsity

Marianapolis Girls’ Crew made use of the fall season to help build depth in the program.  We ran one crew this past fall, composed of a mixture of varsity and novice oarsmen working together to tackle The Textile River Regatta, The New England Championship, and The New Hampshire Championship.  Our novice were introduced to rowing this past fall.  They picked up the sport quickly, benefiting from the guidance of our varsity-level oarsmen.  We used the Textile as a first race for our novice and relied on the efforts of our more seasoned athletes to put forth our strongest results at the two championship events.  Each race featured at least one novice, however, which provided a great opportunity for the girls who were in their first season.  Hopefully the girls built greater depth for their program, as a result, and we can capitalize on that growth in the spring season.
