Cross Country - Girls' Varsity

The cross country program is looking forward to a great season, culminating in the NEPSTA Division IV Championships which will be held on the Marianapolis campus in November with over thirty teams in attendance. The girls’ side returning captain Molly Romprey ’19 will continue to be a pillar of focus and dedication for the underclassmen to look up to. Individually, runners will focus on continually setting personal goals and improving personal records. The team is looking forward to a good season.

    Head Coach

    Emily Gaudet, Marianapolis class of 2008, currently teaches Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, AP Chemistry, and Introduction to Neuroscience. She coaches cross country and track and field. Her mother (’75) and brother (’12) also attended Marianapolis.

    Assistant Coach

    Meghan Dwyer is entering her third year at Marianapolis. She is a teacher in the mathematics department and a house parent in Villa St. Joseph. For extracurricular activities, she is coaching the three sports she played and loved in high school: cross country, basketball, and softball. Coach Dwyer puts a strong emphasis on teamwork and good sportsmanship. Her love of sports shows in her coaching. She praises hard work and dedication and is excited to get to work with the three teams this year.

    Assistant Coach

    Samuel Gray is excited to help coach cross country. He ran cross country for his high school and middle school teams. He ran varsity all four years of high school and was his team captain senior year. He has continued running recreationally since. This will be his second year coaching cross country at Marianapolis.
