Lacrosse - Girls' Varsity
Marianapolis Girls’ Varsity Lacrosse is gearing up for another great season. Coming off a successful 2018 season, the Lady Knights hope to continue the momentum in 2019. The Knight’s roster will include a strong returning squad of juniors and seniors and is staged to welcome several younger players to the team, including an additional goalie and several midfield players.
Senior, Alayna Cashman and junior, Mary Wall will lead the MPrep Lax squad as co-captains and the team will also look to seniors Emma Pickett and Alyssa Morrison as well as juniors Julia Kilroy, Jocelyn Nguyen, Ava LaRoche, Nina Darvish and Eva Dellea to help to continue to groom our younger players for another great season.
Michelle ParkerHead Coach
Michelle Parker is currently the Science Department Chair and teaches AP Biology, Biology, Forensic Science, Science of Infectious Diseases, Ecology, Science of Science Fiction and Chemistry. She has coached girls’ JV soccer for 2 years, girls’ varsity soccer for 16 years, girls’ varsity lacrosse for 17 years, and directed the winter play for 18 years. She lives and is part of the residential duty team in St. Albert’s. She previously went on a month long Tropical Biology course in Puerto Rico where she lived in the rainforest for 3 weeks and then at the marine research center at the University of Puerto Rico. She was involved in bird banding for research on the reliance of songbirds on bird feeders.
Jennifer-Lynn DemersAssistant CoachJennifer-Lynn Demers teaches conceptual physics and coaches yoga and girls’ lacrosse. Dr. Demers’ PhD was a collaboration between Dartmouth College and the University of Michigan. She loves road trips, and has driven across the country 9 times.
