Lacrosse - Boys' Varsity
The Marianapolis boys lacrosse team had a challenging season but persevered and finished strong. The highlight of the year was a 9-8 victory over Saint Andrew’s where the Knights stopped a furious comeback after being up 7-2 at the half. The Knights were led by a strong senior class, and their three captains; Bart Mamro, Mitchell Fontaine, and Shelton Mudzingwa did a fantastic job of mentoring the team. Exceptional seasons were had by the sophomore attack duo of Joey Werge and Patrick Brooks; who combined for over 30 goals on the season. Werge finished the year with 21 pts (13g, 6a) and Brooks finished with 19 (18g, 1a). Four-year players Mitchell Fontaine, Bart Mamro, and Brian Chokshi brought veteran leadership and experience to the team and helped the team mature and grow exponentially. We are proud of all of our players, especially our seniors, who will be missed next season. We look forward to what the future holds for this young team.
