Golf - Co-Ed Varsity

The varsity golf team enjoyed a wonderful season despite recording a sub .500 season and rainy Saturdays which canceled several matches.  The team was led by # 1 man Francisco Berny '26 who won a majority of his 7 matches and played near par golf all season long.   Havish Swadia '25 showed major improvement this year and took his game to the next level playing in the # 2 position and shooting in the low forties for 9 holes.  Co-captains Dylan LaVallee "24 and Riley Landry '25 provided stability in the middle of the line up and great leadership as well.  Riley was especially helpful in preparing the practice line-ups and communicating real time information and details to the team.  Brady Miller '25 played very steadily in the five position alongside Luke Landis '26 who continued to improve throughout  the course of the year.  The team finished the season with a 2-5 win loss record with wins over Bancroft and Nichols College GV team.  The Knights suffered defeats at the hands of  powerhouse programs Austin Prep, Beaver Country Day School and Portsmouth Abbey. In the future next year's seniors will need to provide the leadership and skills to lead the MPrep squad to a better record.  The best way to ensure a winning season is for every returning golfer to play as much as possible next  spring and summer at a local course..  A warm and sincere thank you to Father Tim Roth, our old Headmaster, for being at every practice this year.  Whether playing the course, ceaselessly instructing on the driving range or working tirelessly on putting near the clubhouse he was a major contributor to our golfers development and growth.
