Basketball - Boys' Varsity

The Boy's Varsity Basketball program is designed to prepare student athletes for collegiate play as well as teach life lessons to help guide them to find success. The program is led by second year Head Coach Tommy DiColella who looks to keep the great momentum from the end of last season and to continue it onto this season! Key returners of Raymond Johnson '23, Filip Kalis '23, Collins AchuFon '23, Stephen Willand '23, and Peyton Manyak '24 will help lead the way for the talented newcomers that have joined the program for this season as they compete in the highly competitive NEPSAC conference.

The Golden Knights have high expectations from themselves this season, with goals of sending numerous players to the college level, along with making the NEPSAC tournament. The Golden Knights will look to compete in the highly talented and well coached NEPSAC Class B Conference and aim to find success through great team chemistry, hard work, and perserverance.

Thomas DiColella

Coach DiColella enters his ninth year with the Marianapolis Prep Boys Varsity Basketball Program and is heading into his third year as Head coach. Coach DiColella is excited for his program and the expectations for the Golden Knights for this year, which has a storied history of sending numerous players to the college level. Coach DiColella coaches Basketball all year round, throughout New England and Pennsylvania, including Hoopgroup, Hoopmountain and NERR.
Kendra Sumner

Kendra Sumner joins the Varsity Basketball program eager to bring logistics, accountability, and most importantly culture to help the team find success. Coach Sumner will officially become the first female coach in the programs history and we are excited to have her assist the program with achieving their goals for this season.
