Basketball - Boys' Varsity
The Marianapolis Prep Boys Basketball team had another successful and exciting season under Head Coach Andrew Vitale achieving an 18-7 overall record and a 15-6 record in NEPSAC Class B. The Knights also had tremendous success on the road, achieving an 11-2 record away from home. MPrep earned the # 4 seed in the NEPSAC Class B playoffs out of 27 schools and defeated #5 seeded Rivers School in front of a packed Marianapolis gymnasium. MPrep’s season would end in the NEPSAC Semi-Final, but the Knights would go out battling right to the very end. Highlights of the season included the team's three wins in two days triumph resulting in winning the Rivers Holiday Tournament and Senior Stephon Baxter scoring his 1000th point in only three years at Marianapolis. Special thanks to Seniors Stephon Baxter Tyler Burton, Kevin Le, Jusouf Rashad, Owen Soontjens, and Jared Ullstrom, and Post-Graduates Justin Cort and Drew Peretti for their amazing contributions to this year’s team and to the MPrep Basketball Program during their time at Marianapolis.
