Basketball - Boys' Varsity

Record: 9-9
League Record: 9-9

The Boys Basketball program shared a ton of success and went on a fantastic journey of growth and learning from November to the end of February. The Knights finished their year 12-12 and 9-11 in Class B play. These great group of players were always unselfish, and played hard for their community here at Marianapolis. Although finishing the year at .500, they found themselves with some very high quality games and some sound wins over great programs such as the Brooks School, and St. Marks. The Knights found themselves to battle every game, and undeservingly they also had numerous critical games against Top 5 2024 playoff seeded NEPSAC tournament Class B teams that they had lost in the final mere seconds of the game, that ultimately cost them a postseason run in the NEPSAC playoffs. The Season was filled with a ton of great memories, and a bond that was truly special.

At this point on the end of their season conclusion, the Knights have two players committed to going to play at the collegiate level with H. Stanwood '24 who will be playing for Nichols College next year, and S. Hall '24 who is committed to play for Endicott college. Currently there are 3 other seniors who have similar D3 college interests that should be announcing their commitments in the spring. The Knights overall had one of their best seasons offensively under Coach DiColella who had a career high 12 wins, and career high 68 ppg for his team. The Knights were led by 4 players who were all within 1 point of each other for leading scorer and also featured a year under Coach Dicolella with a team high in assists per game and a team boasting a high 3 point shooting percentage.

Coach DiColella is excited for the 24-25 season, with it being his fourth year as head coach and tenth year overall with the program, and is eager to continue to improve, as he's had a steady growth in each of the following years with his program, increasing the team's overall win total each season under the helm, and still sending seniors to the next level collegiately.

The Boys Basketball Program would like to thank the Athletics dept. for their support all season, the Parents for their endless love and support especially with team meals and birthday parties spent together throughout the season that the Boys Basketball family will always cherish, and most importantly they would like to thank the Marianapolis Community for their support at the home games which featured some of the most packed attendances and loud support that the gym hasn't seen in quite some years!
