Basketball - Girls' IIIs
The Knights had a home game yesterday against Northfield Mount Hermon. There were a lot of good defensive match-ups in the first quarter. After a few adjustments in our defense, the momentum shifted for the Knights when Olivia Montione '23 came in off the bench and forced a few turnovers. She finished the game with 11 points. In the second quarter the Knights went on an 11-0 run which saw two 3 pointers from Captain Jasmine Creighton '21 who finished the day with 7points. Captain Kylie Miller '21 and Morgan Polinski '21 were running the offense and setting up their teammates for baskets. The Marianapolis defense, led by Elizabeth Walker '22, Kaeleigh Sullivan '23 and Linh Nguyen '23, were forcing turnovers and pulling down rebounds today. These players were hustling throughout the game to keep things in check for the Knights. Both Shaylan Cashman '23 and Anna Czechowski '23 worked hard on both ends of the court and ended up scoring a combined 6 points.
