The Golden Knights played Springfield Commonwealth in their home opener. The Golden Knights took the lead early in the first quarter and never looked back. Rachel Ullstrom was very aggressive on the offensive glass to help build a 15-7 lead after the first quarter. Great team defense held Springfield Commonwealth to just 12 points in the first half. MPrep carried that momentum into the second half by sharing the ball on offense and playing great team defense. Colleen Murphy and Cassandra Belsito provided a spark off the bench scoring 8 points each respectively to secure the 65-28 win. Rachel Ullstrom led the Golden Knights with 19 points, and Sydney Masciarelli added 11 points. The Golden Knights improve to 4-2, 1-1 in Class A. The Golden Knights will host Navy Prep on Friday Jan. 10.
