The Swimming Knights’ first meet in two weeks took them against the traditionally stiff opponent of Worcester Academy. While the Knights fell to Worcester with a score of 26-44 for the girls and 41-48 for the boys, there were some strong highlights. P. Martineau '22 broke his personal record in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:32.46. Captain J. Crosby '20 broke her personal record in her new found passion of the individual medley. A. Vanderbrouck '22 broke her personal record in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:11.76. R. Barnwell '20 continues his streak of breaking his record in the backstroke with a time of 1:11.22. The most exciting individual event had to have been the 100 breaststroke, where captain J. Sarantopoulos '20 went head to head with Worcester, just barely eeking out the win for the Golden Knights, and breaking the school record for the event with a time of 1:11.81. The boys 200 freestyle relay was also incredibly exciting, as R. Barnwell '20, J. Sarantopoulos '20, P. Martineau '22, and D. Hendrick '23 took first place for the Golden Knights with a time of 1:59.20. With so many amazing feats it was a great end to the week. As always, we deeply appreciate the constant support of our fans. The Knights look forward to their race against Wibraham and Monson Academy next Saturday. Go Knights!
