Loss 5-1

On Saturday, girls' varsity soccer traveled to High Mowing School. The Knights faced a challenge against a very fast team, which caught them off guard when transitioning down the field. High Mowing scored their first goal off a PK and increased their lead to 4 goals by the end of the half. The Knights came off the field frustrated, but willing to put in the extra effort required to come back during the second half. Angie Hargrave ‘23 scored after pressuring the High Mowing goalie in the box and putting one in the back of the net. The Knights continued to keep up the offensive pressure and had numerous opportunities for shots and scoring chances in the second half. Where staying tight on defense became crucial, Gabby Fung ‘22 played great as an inside midfielder, marking her player and working the ball up to the strikers. Although the Knights made a huge improvement in their game in the second half, High Mowing was able to score again, bringing them up 5-1 at the final whistle. The Knights will play High Mowing again at home on November 9, and will look to turn the tables next time. The upcoming game is on Wednesday, where the Knights will face off against Cheshire Academy at home. Come out and support!
