Field Hockey - Girls' Varsity
The start of October has been a good one for the Knights. The team traveled to Newton, Massachusetts, to play against Beaver Country Day. The field hockey team had their second win of the season. Despite the rain, the team played with grit and aggression. The Knights posted three goals on the board. The first goal was scored early in the game by sophomore Cassandra Belstio assisted by Ashley Smith, '20. The second was also scored by Belsito for her second one of the game. Off of a beautiful corner play, junior Maya Benway had the goal assisted by senior Ashley Smith for the third goal of the game. The Knights saw great plays from both offense and defense. Junior goalkeeper Lily Givner played a strong game, saving shots and communicating with her team. We look forward to hosting Hamden Hall on Saturday.
