The Marianapolis Boys' JV soccer team suffered their first defeat of the season at the hands of Worcester Academy 3-1. The Knights came out sluggish and played most of the game from behind. After going down 1-0, the Knights briefly evened it up with a Nick Laflamme PK but allowed a second goal less than a minute later. The Knights had some good opportunities but unfortunately could not find the back of the net. The Knights' two captains, Andrew Raps and Jake McCabe, left it all out on the field, and played very well despite the loss. Standout performances were also had by defenders Laflamme, Szymon Mamro, and Joe DiPietro. Goalie Colin O’Connor played well in his first JV start, and kept the Knights in the game for most of the match. The Knights look to bounce back next week against Pomfret on Wednesday.
