Soccer - Boys' Junior Varsity
The MPrep JV boys continued their undefeated season by way of a hard-fought 1-1 tie against Concord Academy. With only four minutes left in the first half, the Knights notched the first goal of the game on a deflected Andre Looney '21 shot. Freshman striker Ben Bouchard '23 finished the play and is the Knights' points leader with two goals this season. The Knights played hard for the rest of the match, and did a good job of playing defense until the last 5 minutes of the game. Concord had some great opportunities in the last few minutes and scored on a corner kick header with 45 seconds left. A stand out game was had by goalie Conor Allen '21 who saved more than 15 shots and kept the Knights in it all match. Szymon Mamro '22, Nick LaFlamme '22, Joe Dipietro '23, and Andrew Raps had a strong performance on the defensive half and showed grit along the way. Midfielders Dom Capalbo '23, Tyler Whitely '23, and Torres Huyhn '21 kept the ball moving up field and gave the strikers (Looney and Bouchard) multiple scoring chances. The Knights look to keep the undefeated streak alive against Worcester Academy on Saturday.
