Loss 2-0

The JV Golden Knights faced a tough battle against Pomfret. The first game got off to a slow start with both teams working really hard for each point. Pomfret were able to gain an advantage midway through the first set that the Knights were unable to answer, and they fell 25-17 in the first.

The second set got off to a good start with freshman Danielle Doiron opening up the game with some impressive serving. Pomfret remained poised and were able to counter the Knights' serves with some quick returns which resulted in them gaining a small lead. The Golden Knights refused to let up and battled hard to stay in the game. Some great serves by sophomore Olivia Sczuroski closed the scoring gap for the Knights as the set neared its end, but Pomfret proved to be the better team on the day, as they finished the day with another 25-17 win over the Knights, to gain a 2-0 win over Marianapolis. The Knights look to regroup and will be fighting to protect their home court on Saturday against Middlesex.
