The Marianapolis varsity field hockey hosted their first game of the season against Worcester Academy.  The team was ready to take the field at the first whistle. The left side of the field consisting of senior Andie Lee, freshman Emma Raps, and junior Jasmine Creighton played a very strong game working well together to move the ball up the field.  Defense, which consisted of junior Maya Benway, senior Serena Godin, junior Sophia Elustondo, and Lee, played a strong first and second half.  Junior goalkeeper Lily Givner had a great season opener with strong saves.  Benway had the first goal of the season.  The Knights have a lot to work on and are ready to gear up for the second game.  The Knights put forth a tremendous effort in their first game and showed that they have great potential. Their next game is on Thursday at home against Pomfret School.
