Other 11th

Marianapolis varsity ultimate went 1-3 to take 11th in New England at the 16th Annual NEPSUL Championship hosted by Northfield Mount Hermon. The Knights end their season a competitive 7-12.

Despite early leads in each game, the Knights could only close out one contest. Still, they showed improvement in each game and should be proud of their effort in hot conditions with a short bench.

Marianapolis was able to avenge a loss last week to Watkinson School with an 11-6 win. Senior Sam Roy caught the last point of the year on a put from fellow senior Cole McGovern.

Senior Max Hayes set the tone on defense with 6 defensive blocks on the day. Roy scored 7 goals and senior Jacob Rice took home man-of-the-match honors with 8 assists. Senior John Madden caught his first goal of the season in the team's last game.

Marianapolis graduates all five of those seniors, as well as Rafael Fauxbel who could not make the trip today. The coaches would like to thank the parents for early wakeups and late pickups and the players for making 2019 another year to remember for MUltimate.
