Softball - Girls' Varsity
Today the Lady Knights faced Wilbraham and Monson and won at home, 18-3. It was a beautiful day for our senior day game! Defensively, the Knights played well with 5 strikeouts from M. Benway, '21 and strong catching by J. Calkins, '21. Offensively, the girls once again showed their strength behind the plate with 15 hits total. Seniors A. Bagley and K. Heney had 3 and 2 hits respectively, with multiple hits also by S. Hargrave, '21. G. McGovern, '21, K. Baca, '22, and Calkins. Heney had the last hit to bring in Bagley, a very fitting way to end their senior day. Our seniors and captains Kelly and Anna have been an asset to our program and we are very proud of them. It was great to get to celebrate them with a win. The Knights are looking forward to getting back on the field on Tuesday in their game against Cheshire Academy.
