Crew - Co-Ed Varsity
Marianapolis Crew hosted its first race of the spring season today. The girls hosted Westover school, while the boys competed against South Kent School. Conditions were ideal, on our first truly warm, sunny, and calm day on the water.
Westover took the day on the girls' side, ousting both Marianapolis crews down the course. The varsity girls fought well but were unable to match the pace of their competition. The novice Marianapolis crew lost an oar in the final stretch, but showed the grit to get their oar back in place an finish their first race.
The boys split the day with South Kent School. Our varsity crew managed to keep a steady pace ahead of their competition and finish as victors. Our novice crew was overpowered by the South Kent crew, which confidently made its way down the course ahead of the rowing Knights.
