Badminton - Co-Ed Varsity
The Golden Knights fought hard in an historic first game hosted on campus against MacDuffie. The Knights fell to the Mustangs in an overall score of 5-2. On the boys' side, T. Tang '21 and H. Zhang '19 played tough matches against the Mustangs. Both players struggled to find their footing in the first matches but settled in nicely to the patterns and attacks the MacDuffie players hit their way. The boys' double team, comprised of T. Tang and Z. Gan '20, played two very tough, back and forth sets. On the girls' side, D. Luo '19 came out strong in the second set and played a great back and forth game with lots of great serving and defense. Shout out to J. Zhang '20 for stepping up at the last minute to help out with the second girls' single match. She played hard against her opponent and had some excellent volleys. The girls' double team rocked the house today! J. Zhang and L. Li '20 stepped up and swept both sets bringing home one of only two W's from today's game. The MVPs from today's game were H. Zhang and Y. Fang '21 who showed up to dominate in their match. They took an easy sweep of the first set, fell in the second set after going into extra points and then came back with a vengeance in the third and final set, winning outright and earning our second win of the day. Although the Knights fell to the Mustangs, everyone played their hearts out on the court. We would also like to thank all of our fans for coming out and supporting us today! We are excited to finally be home on campus and are looking forward to some more action at home against Winchendon.
