Lacrosse - Boys' Varsity
The boys' lacrosse team earned its first victory this season with a 9-8 win over Saint Andrew's. The Knights held a 7-2 lead at halftime, and the Saints battled back in the second half making it a one-goal game with less than 2 minutes left. Goalie Bart Mamro, '19, continued his strong season making 11 saves in the win. The Knights' offensive assault was led by the attack duo of Patrick Brooks '21 and Joey Werge '21, who both enjoyed career games. Brooks had 5 goals and 1 assist, while Werge tallied 3 goals and 1 assist. Sophomore midfielder Andre Looney chipped in another goal, and played strong defense all game. Senior midfielders, Cam Alicandro, Mitchell Fontaine, and Shelton Mudzingwa also played hard in the win. The Knights look to extend the win streak next week at home against Concord Academy.
