Loss 7-2
The MPrep Boys’ Lacrosse team opened the year against Beaver Country Day, ultimately falling 7-2. The Knights played hard and played very well all game, keeping it close until the end. The Knights offensive attack was lead by Brian Chokshi '19, Patrick Brooks '21, and Xander Cook '21. Brooks netted his first score of the season early on in the game on a nice dodge to the goal. The other Knight's goal was scored by John Vigliotti '21 who scooped up a ground ball in front of the net and put it past the keeper for the first goal of his career. The Knights also benefited from tough midfield work from Senior Shelton Mudzingwa '19, Senior Dylan Ngyuen '19, and Sophomore Andre Looney '21. The star of the game was stalwart goalie Bart Mamro '19 who netted 22 saves in the loss. Mamro finished the game with a save percent of 75.8%, which is an incredible feat for seeing 29 shots on cage. The Knights look forward to bouncing back next week against Portsmouth Abbey.
