The Marianapolis swim team went south for a tri-meet with MacDuffie at Hamden Hall. The team had some of the best results of this season and a second place finish with a final score of Hamden 210, Mprep 158 and MacDuffie 91. As has been the trend so far this season, many records were broken.

Our best showing of the day was the 100 backstroke with G. McGovern ‘21 taking the first place for the girls with a time of 1:15.03 and R. Barnwell ‘20 taking first for the boys with a time of 1:18.28. Barnwell broke his record in both the backstroke and the 500 freestyle. H. Cao ‘21 took first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:22.20. Many of our 50 freestyle swimmers broke their personal bests as well; J. Crosby ‘20, A. Robert ‘20, C. Ringer ‘19 and P. Martineau ‘22 all showed their improvement.

As always we know the support of our loyal fans helped today's results for which we are thankful. With another great meet in the books, the swimming Knights look to the last third of their season with many more Saturday meets this month. We look forward to returning to the Trinity college pool for our meet against Kingswood Oxford on February 9th. Go Knights!
