Basketball - Girls' IIIs
The Girls’ IIIs basketball loss a home game against Northfield Mount Hermon 12-19.
The Lady Knights started a little slow in the first half, allowing NMH to get a quick lead. Defensively, the team looked to freshmen Johnna Romanek and Olivia Duquette. Duquette was able to force a few turnovers to go the Knight’s way. Sophomore Morgan Polinksi took control of the game scoring seven straight points playing multiple positions for the team. At the half, NMH led 7-11.
The Lady Knights opened the second half ready to take control. Junior Olivia Pisegna and sophomore Jasmine Creighton led the team offensively and keeping the drive alive. Senior Katie Joiner and Freshmen Payton Booth grabbed multiple defensive and offensive rebounds to keep the Lady Knights fighting down low. Unfortunately, the girls were not able to make the comeback and fell to NHM 12-19.
The girls look forward to their upcoming Christmas Party and Christmas Break. Go Knights!
