Basketball - Girls' Varsity
The Knights got off to a battle from the start with St. Andrews. The first half proved a back and forth game from the tip with the lead changing a total of 14 times. The Knights headed into the half down 28-31.
The second half got off to a much more favorable start for the Golden Knights. Some transition points by Sophomore, Sydney Masciarelli coupled with some big 3 pointers by Senior, Olivia Summiel allowed the Knights to gain a double digit lead early into the second half, which they kept for the remainder of the game.
Seniors, Chyna Bullen, and Olivia Summiel, and Junior, Lena Benway did a phenomenal job at holding down the back line of the defense for a 6 minute run which held St. Andrews to just 5 points during that stretch.
Olivia Summiel led the Knights with 20 points, Sydney Masciarelli added 12 points, and Senior, Kara O’Neil had 11 points. It was a great team effort to help the Knights secure a 69-56 win over St. Andrews!
