The Knights got off to a slow start against Worcester early Saturday morning, and some early turnovers by the Knights followed by some big outside shots by Worcester, allowed Worcester to take a 12-1 lead early on.
The Knights dug deep, and great team defense with some transition baskets by Sophomore, Sydney Masciarelli allowed the Knights to fight back and cut the deficit to 6 points at half time.
The Knights came out strong in the second half! Worcester did not have an answer for Senior, Chyna Bullen who scored 9 points in the 2nd half! Sophomore, Sydney Masciarelli extended the defense and grabbed 3 steals in the second half and converted them into 6 points to give the Knights a 50-44 lead with 5 minutes to go.
Worcester’s battle on the offensive boards, along with the Knights struggling to execute allowed Worcester to recapture the lead, and finish out the game with a 23-7 run which resulted in a tough 57-67 loss for the Golden Knights! Sophomore Sydney Masciarelli led the Golden Knights with 18 points and 3 steals, followed by Senior Chyna Bullen who scored 11 points.
