Basketball - Girls' Varsity
The Golden Knights started the game fired up and took a strong 15-4 lead! The Knights continued to push the tempo the entire first half, and big baskets by Chyna Bullen, and Kara O’Neil allowed the Knights to take a 35-19 lead into half time.
Senior, Olivia Summiel, made some big plays both offensively and defensively that allowed the Golden Knights to take a 42-22 lead early in the second half.
Tilton attempted to make a run with 8 minutes to go, but tough defense by the Knights, teamed with great composure down the stretch at the free throw line allowed the Knights to come out with the 53-41 win. Seniors Kara O’Neil and Olivia Summiel led the Knights with 14 points each, and Senior Chyna Bullen, and Junior Juliette Golden both added 9 points.
The Marianapolis Girls Varsity basketball team head back to the Blackburn Tournament tomorrow to take on Worcester Academy at 2:30pm.
