Cross Country - Boys' Varsity
On November 10th, Marianapolis hosted the NEPSTA Division 4 Cross Country Championships, attended by 41 schools from across New England. It was the muddiest race of the entire year after all the rain we received this week!
The second race of the day was boys varsity with 208 competitors. In first place for the team and third place overall was Sal Masciarelli '21 with a time of 18:01. In second for the team and 18th overall was Chase Courville '19 (19:22) followed in 20th by Zach Stoddard '22 (19:30), Spencer Courville '22 in 63rd (21:19), Sam Roy '19 in 78th (21:43), Riley Martin '21 in 80th (21:46), and Brian Woz '20 in 109th (22:56). The team placed fifth out of 29 scoring teams.
Though the season has ended for most of the team, a few members of the varsity team will continue on to the All-Star race held by St. Mark's School in Southborough on November 17th. From there, Sal Masciarelli will head to Footlocker Northeast Regional Championships on November 24th at Van Cortlandt Park in New York.
