Thirds soccer played at Pomfret School for their second matchup of the season, losing a heartbreaking 1-0 contest to the Griffins. Pomfret was able to take advantage of miscommunication and score early. From then on, the Golden Knights fought to and got many offensive opportunities. Torres Huynh, '21, Mauricio Perez, '21, and Captain Ben Kules, '20, each got several shots off but were all unable to convert with the Pomfret keeper making some great saves. Tim Hall, '22, Matthew Tomasino, '22, and Pat Martineau, '22, had a great defensive game stopping attacks from the Pomfret offense throughout the game. Connor McLeod, '21, and Doyoon Kim, '20, were stellar in new positions. Keeper Conor Allen, '21 was excellent throughout. After today's heartbreaker, the IIIs team is ready to play on the turf at Gustavson Field on Wednesday and Saturday at Portsmouth Abbey.
