Volleyball - Girls' Varsity
Marianapolis dropped a tight contest vs. Rivers School away in a Friday evening game.
Set one was a 25-22 L, with C. King '21 leading the offensive effort for the Knights with a 7-point run. While J. Golden' 20 had big hands as a middle blocker, MPrep. Was slow to start.
Set two saw more attacks from the front and back row, including noteworthy efforts from A. Boria '21 and C. Gardiner' 20. Serves were more consistent for the girls but 25-22 was once again the set score.
K. Heney was tough front row and back for the Knights in set three, while B. Rett looked to set up offensive opportunities for the team from the 2. However, the ladies could not overcome a mid-set serving run from Rivers, and lost the final 25-20.
The team is back on the court in a few hours for a home contest against MacDuffie.
