The Lady Knights of JV soccer played to a 1-1 draw with Worcester Academy.
MPrep put up a strong fight in the first half. The defense of sophomore Jill Reardon, junior Ava LaRoche, and freshmen Claire Kelleher under the leadership of goalie sophomore Emma Allen kept Worcester Academy our of the net. Offensive opportunities for the Lady Knights came from freshmen Sophia Rabitor and sophomore Kylie Miller. At the half, Worcester and Marianapolis were nil-nil (0-0).
The Lady Knights and Worcester Academy remained tied 0-0 for the majority of the second half. Worcester Academy hit the net first with a corner shot that curved into the Marianapolis net. The Lady Knights could not be stopped, though, and sophomore Reardon finally got one of her shots past the Worcester goalie. The game ended in a 1-1 draw.
The Lady Knights look forward to their games next week against MacDuffie and Loomis, both home matches. Go Knights!
