The mist was rising on the Merrimack River as the Rowing Golden Knights arrived at the New Hampshire Championship Regatta. Being the last regatta of our regular season, the crews were excited to take to the water.
The girls' varsity boat was the second race for MPrep. D. Collette ‘19, L. Mueller ‘22, M. Brooks ‘19, L. Mayen ‘21, and coxswain C. Rabines ‘19 also had their best race of the season in this line up. Coming in 22nd with a time of 19:34.8, Coach Curtis was pleased with their performance, particularly noting her pride in the boat’s increase of determination and flexibility this past week while maintaining the great attitudes they’ve had all season.
All in all, the Rowing Knights had a great day. We are always appreciative of the dedicated parents that keep us fed, but we are especially appreciative this week for those intrepid fans who made the trek up to New Hampshire to support us in style.
Although this was the last regatta for the full crew, the novice teams will take on Wilbraham and Munson in a scrimage on Wednesday. Additionally, please join us in Boston next Sunday to help cheer on the boys first varsity boat in the Men’s Youth Fours race. Go Knights!
