The JV Golden Knights bring home their first win of the season with a final score of 5-1 vs Barrington Christian Academy.
The first goal for the Knights was had by freshman, and newcomer to the sport, Audrey Hammond. MPrep kept the scoring streak going with two more goals in the first half from fellow freshmen Morgan Beaudreault and Sofia Rabitor ending the half with a 3-1 lead.
The Knights came out strong in the second half with a quick goal on net from sophomore Melania Marrufo. The MPrep JV squad would end the game with one more from sophomore Jill Reardon.
The Golden Knights face off against St. Andrews on Friday on their home turf in Thompson for their first home game of the season.
