The Golden Knights fell to Green Farms Academy on Saturday 2-0. Man of the Match was Ryan Martin, '21, who recorded fifteen saves throughout the contest. Marianapolis worked hard throughout the game, but Greens Farms had strong passing game and physicality which put them up 2-0 off of MPrep marking errors at the back. Rafael Fauxbel, '19, James Alves,'22. and Shawn Murphy, '19, all had strong performances at the back. Dylan Nguyen, '19, and Daniel Twohig, '22, also did well keeping the defense together. A missed penalty before the half deflated the Knights somewhat. Through the second half, it was increasingly difficult to get by the Greens Farms defense, though Xander Cook, '21, and Peetu Pakarinen, '21, both had chances. The Knights look forward to their next match on Wednesday.
