Soccer - Girls' Varsity
In their first home game of the season, the girls’ varsity soccer team battled to a 0-0 tie against Williston-Northampton. Bouncing back after a disheartening loss on Saturday, the Knights came out ready to play. In front of a huge home crowd, the team worked as a unit and held possession for quite a bit of the first half. Then, as fatigue set in, the Knights became a bit careless and allowed for some great offensive opportunities for Williston. Thankfully, A. Morrison '19 was once again on fire and came up with some big saves to keep the game even at 0-0 as the teams headed into halftime.
The second half looked much like the first. Each team had some opportunities up front, but neither could get the ball in the net. For the Knights, the defense was huge today. While all players in the back were great contributors, E. Pickett '19, E. Dellea '20, and F. Doiron '21, were particularly impressive. Today’s draw was truly a full team effort and showed signs of a much more cohesive unit. The Knights are looking at a super quick turn around as they will be hosting St. Marks Thursday with a 4:15 pm kickoff.
