Marianapolis varsity volleyball dropped a late Friday home contest 0-3 against Buckingham, Browne and Nichols. Marianapolis saw consistent setting from B. Rett '21 and M. Wall' 20. J. Golden '20 led the team in serving and middle attacks, but BBN pulled away at the late game tie and closed the set 18-25. Golden was again instrumental behind the line in set two, with the help of K. Heney' 19. The MPrep serve receive fell flat-footed mid-game, however, and BBN was able to chisel out a 15-25 victory. Heney and C. King '21 were the offensive spark of the final set, with a strong push at the net from outside and middle respectively. The Knights posted 17 but couldn't pull out the third set win to extend the match. The Knights hit the road in mere hours, taking on Hamden Hall tomorrow away.
