Knights of the Week - 9/18/17

Meghan Darigan '18

New to the girls' varsity program, senior Meghan Darigan has come onto the scene as a coachable, hard working, and positive player. You can usually find her in the defensive half always putting forth her best effort. Her wonderful attitude is something that the younger players look up and is a staple not only during games, but also at practices. She continues to impress her coaches as well as teammates and certainly has been a great addition to the varsity team. Congratulations Meghan, on being named a "Knight of the Week"!

Colby Pion '20

Sophomore Colby Pion has begun his second year on the boys' varsity soccer team this season. He plays the challenging position of left back that ensures the defense has a strong back line to protect the goalkeeper. He preformed well in the scrimmages at Bancroft, helping the defense tally two clean sheets. In Wednesday's game against Suffield Colby made miraculous two goal-line saves that could have increased Suffield's lead. He has a knack for putting himself in the right position on the field. He is also a strong student who makes valuable contributions in the classroom and continues to impress the Marianapolis community with a true commitment to excellence. Congratulations Colby on being named a "Knight of the Week"!
