Knights of the Week - 4/23/17

Meiling Syriac '18

A 3-year girls' varsity tennis player, Meiling has emerged on the 2017 scene as a maturing junior ready to take on the responsibility and pressure of playing at #3 Singles. Her quiet, respectful demeanor does not diminish her determined drive and desire, rather it inspires others around her.  Meiling wants to learn and master new tennis skills and she is receptive to coaching and feedback.  She is the epitome of a MPrep student-athlete; she balances a rigorous academic schedule with grace, even as she begins her college process and strives to meet the heightened varsity expectations of the Lady Knights Tennis Program.  Meiling Syriac is off to great start and is one of the tennis knights to watch this spring! Congratulations on being named one of this week's "Knights of the Week"!

Jake Violette '18

New to the program, Jake has had an immediate impact on the varsity baseball team. Emerging as a leader, both vocally and with his play, he has helped to bring success to the baseball team and has given the younger players someone to look up to. His hard work and determination have helped him to improve and master the skills of his position. Whether he takes the field for practice or for a game, the team can rely on Jake to give his all.  Congratulations Jake for being named one of this week's "Knights of the Week"!

Kyle Longo '17

A goalie must demonstrate leadership qualities, composure, and athleticism; Kyle Longo has all of these. Described as "a rock" on the team, Kyle has played a large role in the development and success of the boys' varsity lacrosse team this season. His hard work and passion for the game have helped him to be a successful goalie, and provide an example to the younger players the benefits of putting in extra work. He is a leader on the field, has great sportsmanship, and is the type of person that every coach wants to have as part of their program. Congratulations Kyle on being named one of this week's "Knights of the Week"!
