Knights of the Week - 10/2/17

Christopher Ringer '19

Described by his coach as "a model of focus and dedication to the sport", Chris Ringer '19 sets an example for his teammates on the crew team for being a true team player.  With one of the boys' boats looking to scratch due to an injury, Chris rowed in two races this past weekend so that all of his teammates could compete in the Textile Regatta. He is a true athlete of the sport, always wanting to be on the water and rowing, and is seriously focused on his improvement. Sitting in the stroke seat for the boys' second boat, he is responsible for setting pace for his teammates. They look up to him for not only this, but for how to be a selfless, hard working, and dedicated athlete. Congratulations Chris on being named on of this week's "Knights of the Week"!

Rachel Ullstrom '21

It is quite an accomplishment to be a freshman on a varsity level athletic team. Rachel Ullstrom '21 has not only made the team, but is making a name for herself in the cross country world this fall.  She is one of the top newcomers on the girls' team, and her work ethic and persistency have allowed her to earn a personal record this past Wednesday by a full two minutes. Her coach describes her as "humble and always giving 100% no matter what the conditions or ailments".  She continues to improve and has been a great addition to not only the cross country team, but the Marianapolis community.  Congratulations Rachel for being named one of this week's "Knights of the Week"!
