Winter Comedy Showcases Talent and Teamwork

Winter Comedy Showcases Talent and Teamwork
Bravo to our cast, crew, and directors for their hard work and dedication in putting on two incredible showings of Opal’s Million Dollar Duck, by John Patrick!

While searching for costumes for their next production, Desmond and Queenie, the self-proclaimed “stars” of a local summer-stock theater company, stumble upon an unexpected treasure at Opal’s Antique Junque Shop. Among the cluttered curiosities, they discover an unassuming oil painting of a mallard duck and an apple. To their astonishment, they suspect it may be the very piece recently reported missing from a local art museum and tied to a substantial reward.

Determined to capitalize on their discovery, the pair put their theatrical talents to work, attempting to charm Opal into selling the painting for next to nothing. However, their plan hits a snag when Opal reveals she intends to gift the artwork to her dear friend, Rosie, for her birthday.

Our Marianapolis community enjoyed witnessing a production that showcased sharp comedic timing, dynamic characters, and collaborative spirit. Congratulations once again to our MPrep Drama Team! A photo gallery is available to view here
