The Knightly News on WINY - May 14
Softball is gearing up to end the season on a high note! So far, they have won 7 games and lost 3. With 11 players and many varying abilities, the team has enjoyed learning and improving together throughout the spring.
Thank you to Ms. Courtney Farber, Assistant Girls’ Varsity Softball Coach, and student-athletes L. Bergeron ‘25 and H. Watson ‘26 for highlighting moments from the regular season and sharing their excitement for the remaining games!
“It’s been fun to watch how everyone has progressed throughout the season,” says Coach Farber. “The camaraderie on the team has been really great.”
This is Bergeron’s first year on the team, and she has enjoyed playing left field. Watson has been on the team for two years, and her current position is right field.
Everyone looks forward to celebrating seniors on the team during the home game on Wednesday, May 15, at 3:00 p.m. versus Miss Porter’s School! All are welcome to attend.
May 15 is the last game of the regular season, so the team hopes to play its best and make the Western New England Prep School Girls Softball Association (WNEPSGSA) playoffs. We wish them luck!
Watch this week’s episode to learn more about softball at Marianapolis, community life, other sports/extracurriculars that Bergeron and Watson participate in, and their summer plans!
