Spring Musical - "Red Riding Hood"
The Marianapolis community would like to recognize and congratulate the cast, crew, and directors of “Red Riding Hood!”
They put on two wonderful showings in our Irwin Black Box Theatre last Friday, May 10, and Saturday, May 11. Both nights were filled with community members eager to watch!
Jake Brunger wrote the book and lyrics, and Pippa Cleary wrote the music and lyrics.
The musical was set in the medieval period (6th-14th century) and is an uplifting retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. Brave Red journeys through the forest to save Mother’s bakery from closing down and tries to reunite her family in the process.
Red’s adventure into the woods involves many twists and turns as she encounters a cunning wolf on the way to her grandmother’s house.
Even though the wolf distracted Red on her quest and was deceptive, a happy ending was celebrated! Mother’s bakery was saved, and the family reunited!

Full of humor and original music, David DiCicco, Head of School, described the performance as “filled with laugh-out-loud moments, spirited energy and chemistry between the cast, and great singing.”
Thank you to the entire cast and crew for sharing your talent and enthusiasm for the performing arts in this wonderful musical. It was a privilege to witness!
