In a letter sent today to Marianapolis constituents, President of Marianapolis Schools, Joe Hanrahan, announced Rachel Rogers was appointed Director of Advancement. Read the full letter below.
The start of each school year brings new beginnings and a sense of excitement for the year ahead. We recently celebrated Convocation with special guests Mr. Mike Herlihy, Board Chair, Mr. Tom Dodge, Board and Alumni Council member, and Alumni Council President Mr. Paul Lango to usher in our 98th year in the legacy of Marianapolis. Spirits are high as the 2023-2024 year is set in motion.
In this spirit of new beginnings, I am delighted to share a staffing announcement as we look ahead to our centennial anniversary in just two years. To spur on our celebratory and development efforts towards this monumental milestone, Mrs. Rachel Rogers has been appointed Director of Advancement. She will oversee all Alumni, Development, and Communications work at Marianapolis.
Rachel has served the community for the past nine years, and all of us who have had the good fortune of being a colleague of hers can attest to her expertise and commitment to independent school life. From living on campus to coaching Varsity Basketball and spending time as a House Parent for our boarding community, Rachel is passionate about all things Marianapolis.
As Director of Communications and Constituent Management for the past nine years, there is not much in life at the school that hasn’t come through Rachel’s office. From community emails to social media posts, advertising, and branding to our website and Knights Hub, Rachel has reviewed and endorsed it all.
It is with great confidence in this transferrable skillset that I announce Rachel’s shift from internal work to external messaging as she partners with alumni, past and current parents, educational consultants, and friends of Marianapolis to help secure the school’s future. Locally, regionally, and internationally, I couldn’t be more excited for you to know Rachel as we do. She has told our story here for nine years from the Communications office. Now she’s on her way to hear yours.
Best wishes for a great academic year ahead!
Warm regards,
Joe Hanrahan
President of Marianapolis Schools
