Mary Kate B. ’27 Delivers Record-Breaking Performances at YMCA LC Nationals and is Among Connecticut’s Top 16
This summer, Mary Kate B. ’27 participated in one of the country’s most competitive swimming events: the 2025 YMCA National Long Course (LC) Swimming Championships in Ocala, Florida! She showcased her talent, discipline, and determination against some of the best swimmers in the country.

Mary Kate set personal records in the 100 Free, 200 Back, and 50 Fly, finishing in the top 40 in all her events. She advanced to the finals in both the 50 Free and 50 Fly, a distinction reserved for the top 30 swimmers. In the 50 Fly, Mary Kate placed 5th in her final (B final), earning her 15th overall. In the 50 Free, she placed 8th in her final, earning her 28th overall (C final).

Her standout performances continue a streak of excellence closer to home: Mary Kate earned a spot on Connecticut Swimming’s Top 16 list for the fourth consecutive year! For the 2024-2025 season, she ranks among the top swimmers statewide in the 50 Free, 100 Free, 100 Fly, 100 Back, and the 2500m Open Water. She holds top 10 placements in both the 100 Fly and 2500m Open Water. This fall, she will be recognized at the Connecticut Swimming Top 16 Banquet and receive a plaque honoring her achievements.

Mary Kate’s success reflects her commitment in and out of the swimming pool. Our Marianapolis community celebrates her continued pursuit of excellence and looks forward to hearing more exciting news on her journey ahead!
