Marianapolis Recognizes Modern Language Honors and Awards

On Monday, May 13, Marianapolis recognized multiple achievements in Modern Languages at our Recognition Ceremony! 
 

To begin, Dr. Joseph Parodi-Brown recognized the Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica (SHH) members who were inducted this past December. Recipients of the SHH Chapter Awards at both the Certificado de Excelencia and Premio de Honor levels were announced.

Members and associate members of the Société Honoraire de Français were then recognized.
 

The CT COLT Awards for Excellence and the NECTFL Excellence in Language Study Awards honored 19 Marianapolis students across languages and proficiency levels.

Dr. Parodi-Brown emphasized the importance of their excellence awards: “We celebrate not just their linguistic achievements but their commitment to engaging in the work of improving communication, exploring communities, embracing cultures, making thoughtful comparisons, and discovering connections.” 
 

To end the evening, recipients of the Seal of Biliteracy were announced.
