Father Tim's 50th Anniversary of Priestly Ordination
As we reflect on the first half of our 2024-2025 school year, a particular monumental moment warms our hearts with the utmost gratitude. During the fall season, our community celebrated a very special individual’s 50th anniversary of priestly ordination: our beloved Father Tim Roth, MIC.
We celebrated Father Tim’s anniversary with a golden jubilee Mass and commemorative full-school photo. We were thrilled to welcome Provincial Superior Father Chris Alar, MIC, Provincial Secretary Mike Callea, MIC, Brother Brian Manian, MIC, and Thompson resident priests Father Kenneth Dos Santos, MIC, and Father Ronald McBride, MIC, for this special occasion.
During our golden jubilee Mass, Mr. Joe Hanrahan, President of Marianapolis Schools, spoke on behalf of the Marianapolis family. He emphasized Fr. Tim's tremendous impact on our community and his dedication to the Marians.
“Father is the most consequential teacher in the school’s 99-year history. He is a teacher, a counselor, a coach, a mentor, a confidante, a confessor, a leader, a friend, a priest, a Marian. Devoted to The Blessed Mother and to Catholic education, he is the definition of a humble servant. The thing that differentiates him from the great teachers who have and continue to grace this campus is his devotion: the beacon, the light of our Catholic faith. Through good times and challenging times, there has been one constant steering us in the right ethical and spiritual direction: Father Tim Roth, MIC.”

Mr. Eric Gustavson shared, “It has been an honor and privilege to serve under your guidance for 43 years,” as he presented Father Tim with a special golf-themed gift from the Marianapolis family.
Mrs. Karen Tata, Associate Head of School, presented Father Tim with a gold jubilee vestment.
“You have been my coach, you have been my mentor, you have certainly been my guiding light,” said Tata. “You have been my voice of reason, and I credit my 35 years here truly to you. I know that I’m not the only grateful one; you are surrounded by very grateful people, and there are more beyond the Ebbitt Gates with us, still present and beyond. I am deeply grateful for everything, and we are truly blessed to have you with us.”
Father Tim has been and will continue to be a blessing for our community. We congratulate him on his momentous accomplishment and thank him sincerely for his dedication to the faith and Catholic education on the grounds of Marianapolis.
