Fall 2023 Varsity Athletic Awards

The Marianapolis Athletics Department hosted the Fall Varsity Athletic Awards Ceremony on Thursday, November 30, 2023. It was great to see the overwhelming support from family, friends, and the Marianapolis community! 

Jacque Rivera, Athletic Director, began the ceremony by thanking athletes for their hard work and perseverance, coaches for their dedication and commitment, and families for their support.

Birdie Forgues ‘24 was the host for the evening and shared, “This fall it was wonderful to watch all my classmates and the athletic department thrive. You are all champions!” 

A couple of members from each team shared season highlights as a way for their team to remember what a special season it was. 

Team representatives Greyson Baldaro ‘24 and Andrew Shultz ‘24 from Varsity Boys’ Crew said, “Our most memorable race was the Head of The Charles. We got there super early, launched in the cold, and rowed through the windiest course in New England without hitting anything.” 

Lilly Belsito ‘24 and Birdie Forgues ‘24 shared meaningful remarks on behalf of the entire Varsity Field Hockey team. “We just want to say thank you to this amazing team of young women. Each one of them was 100% committed to this team, and no matter what, they always stayed positive and remembered that it was about the experience and the journey and not how many goals or wins. We have formed bonds and learned life lessons and skills to last a lifetime. That is all we can ask for.”  

Student-athletes should be proud of their teamwork and development. It is truly the best to see our teams setting new goals and accomplishing them together. What an unforgettable experience!
