Congratulations to W. Jeong '25 on Winning Bronze in the U4700 Doubles Division at the U.S. Open Table Tennis Tournament
Over winter break, W. Jeong ’25 competed in the U.S. Open 2023 Table Tennis tournament! The tournament was held at the Ontario Convention Center in Ontario, California from December 16, 2023 - December 21, 2023.

Jeong made it to the Semi-Finals in the U4700 Doubles and earned a bronze medal with his partner, Bradley Robbins. What an impressive accomplishment! Jeong enjoys the opportunity to show his competitive spirit and strives to play the game with grit and determination.

For those who are not as familiar with table tennis, it is a racket sport that is played atop a stationary table as opposed to a court. Table tennis play is fast and demands quick reactions. Sharp attention and technique are a must. Two essentials to winning table tennis are changing spin and speed. Keeping your opponent off balance is key.

Jeong also got to practice with Jinbao Ma, the USA's current top world-ranked player, leading up to the tournament! Ma ended up winning the Men’s Singles championship.

Jeong certainly had an eventful winter break! We appreciate his willingness to share such great news, and our Marianapolis community will keep cheering him on in future table tennis matches! Here is to chasing the ball and embracing the challenge.

Thank you to the USA Table Tennis Organization for capturing the photo below of W. Jeong '25 competing with his partner, Bradley Robbins.
