New England Track & Field Championships: Girls' Place First; Boys' Place Third

Congratulations to the girls' and boys' track and field teams on their first and third-place finishes, respectively, at the NEPSTA Division III Championships this past weekend, hosted at Marianapolis. This is the fourth consecutive first-place finish for the girls' team and the second consecutive third-place finish for the boys' team.

Undeterred by the heavy rain that fell for most of the day, Marianapolis athletes competed with grit and determination.

"We are incredibly proud of both teams this season and the 'PR Mindset' they brought to practices and meets all season long," said track & field head coach David DiCicco. "Our seniors were great leaders who contributed as athletes, mentors, and positive teammates from the first practice through Saturday's meet. Hosting the New Englands, and competing here with so much support, despite the rain, of so many friends and family, made the day even more special."

Below is a list of the top eight event placements. All finishers in the top six places scored points for their team and were named All-NEPSAC. Seventh and eighth-place finishers receive NEPSAC Honorable Mentions.
