Girls’ Crew
In rowing, an individual performance is only important as it supports the creation of a unified crew. Danielle Collette ’19 betters the team through her great attitude and reliability. A former coxswain, she is new to rowing, but is rowing on both the first and novice boats. In the stroke seat, she is - more than any other rower - the key to strong team rowing; her evenness of movement and temperament make her a great stroke seat and a great Knight of the Week.
Boys’ Cross Country
As much as cross country runners compete against others, they race against their own times as well. Salvatore Masciarelli ’21 had an excellent performance at the Canterbury Invitational according to both metrics. He placed second in his division while cutting 1:24 from his time on the same course last year. His hard work and determination to improve make him a stellar Knight of the Week.
Boys’ JV Soccer
Jacob McCabe ’21 continually exemplifies on and off of the soccer field what Marianapolis is truly about. Jake always gives 100 percent when he is on the field, and his hustle gives the Knights many opportunities to score. A returner from last year, Jake is a great leader and role model for the newer members of the team and makes everyone on the team better. On an individual level, he has improved his skills greatly and continues to get better every game.
Varsity Volleyball
As a newcomer to volleyball, Caroline Gardiner ’20 is setting the bar high for the team's energy in practices and games. Her retention of skill-based feedback is superlative, she hustles every second she's on the court, and she has been on fire at the net with "big hands" on blocks. The varsity volleyball team cannot wait to see what more this junior all-star has to share.
